The Communicative Approach

The communicative approach gives learners the opportunity to take an active part in every class and to use the Irish they have learned to achieve communicative objectives in a natural way.

Working in pairs and group work is a constant feature of Gaeilge ABC Irish classes so that learners have the opportunity to practice what they are being taught. The emphasis in the classes is mainly on speaking the language and listening (except in the Advanced Level 1 class), but learners are also given the opportunity to read and write the language now and then.
